What exactly is an ovarian cyst?

An ovarian cyst is a sac filled with fluid that develops in an ovary. Most ovarian cysts are non-cancerous and have no symptoms. “Cyst” is a term used for a structure that is filled with fluid and which may or may not represent a tumour. There are few ovarian cysts that cause problems like pain, irregular bleeding, vomiting, nausea, painful bowel movements and bloating. TYPES OF NON- CANCEROUS OVARIAN CYSTS:
